Below is the registration form for our annual Race/Walk and a donation form that can be used to donate to the Race/Walk. (Donations to the Race/Walk are gratefully accepted through Sept. 2011.)

Please Join us for the annual SIDS Charity Run / Walk benefiting the nonprofit CJ Foundation for SIDS and nonprofit SIDS Educational Services Inc. Please make checks payable to CJ Foundation for SIDS (Tax ID # 22-3280254)

The annual SIDS Run/Walk that so many Cheverly residents have supported in the past is on Saturday (instead of Sunday), September 10. This is the first year this event will be on a Saturday. A new addition is a 5 K Run/Race around Buddy Attick Park lake, for which registration will start at 7 am at St. Hugh's Church, 135 Crescent Road, Greenbelt. A short (approximately 100 yard) Kids' Fun Run for ages 9 and under starts at 7:45 at St. Hugh's, and the start time for the 5 K RunRace for ages 10 and up is 8 am. The 5 K Run/Race will be timed by our partner, the Prince George's Running Club.
In addition to the 5 K Run/Race (for ages 10-99) and the Kids’ Fun Run, there will be the usual Walk around the lake. To facilitate parking, registration for the Walk will start at 8 am at the entrance to Buddy Attick Park (Greenbelt Lake) at 555 Crescent Road. Walkers can start walking anytime between 9 am and noon.
A special line dancing performance by the Iverson Mall Walkers will start at 9 am at the Walk start location. There will also be a guitar sing-along at the Walk location, and a free breakfast will be served at both locations. A clown will entertain the kids. Strollers and pets on leashes are welcome at the Walk, but cannot be accommodated for those who run.
Pre-register online at www.SidsSurvivalGuide.org <http://www.sidssurvivalguide.org/> for the Walk. Registration for the Walk is free, but tax-deductible donations are needed and appreciated. Pre-registration for the 5K Race (for ages 10-99) can be done online at GetMeRegistered.com by midnight of Wednesday, September 7. Pre-registration cost for the 5K Run for ages 10-99 is $20 per person, or $25 per person on the day of the Run. Registration is also available the day of the Run, for $25 per person. Registration for the Kids' Fun Run for ages 9 and under is free.
Volunteers of all ages are needed, and school community service hours are available. (Forms will be at the event.) All proceeds help fund free Cribs for Kids for the Infants at Risk and Teen Parenting programs in Prince George's County and to support SIDS families and research.
